Future Fundraising for The Girls (sorry boys! – but come and cheer us on)

It has been going for many years and it gets more and more popular each time – this year’s Adidas Women’s 5k Challenge.
It will be taking place on Sunday 6th September in London’s Hyde Park. At present, London looks to be the only venue hosting this event, though in past years both Liverpool and Birmingham have hosted too.
Women of all ages can enter. Elite athletes get a head start and often join the warm up team on stage beforehand to help get everyone ready and limbered up. The atmosphere is quite something, as ladies walk, jog or run to raise lots of money for lots of worthy charities.
So what we are hoping for is as many interested Lee Spark Fundraisers as possible to log onto the web link below…

www.womenschallenge.co.uk

Enter the site, then click on “online entry” on the left of the black screen and fill in the appropriate details. All the contact details of Lee Spark including postal code will be required, so have them ready.
Entrance fee costs £15, and £5 of that goes directly to your chosen charity. You are not required to raise additional money, but don’t let us stop you if you are feeling inspired!
A magazine with training tips and your race number will be posted to you nearer the time by the organisers.
We will update the details of this event in the July Newsletter, to ensure those of you who enter the 5K get the chance to meet fellow Lee Spark race goers on the big day.
